Camille Brule

Environmental Working Group Douglas Barton Memorial Scholarship

Camille Brule is a junior at North Carolina State University majoring in Paper Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering. Through her participation in the university’s TAPPI student chapter, Camille volunteers at local elementary schools and serves as a campus tour guide to prospective paper science students. She is also the external communications director for PERIOD NC State, an organization providing homeless women in the Raleigh-Durham area with menstrual products. After graduation, Camille would like to work in the industry to change the way menstrual products are produced to make them more environmentally sustainable and accessible for women worldwide. She recently gained industry experience through a six-month co-op with Tellus Products in Belle Glade, Fla.
