Elevate Your Expertise of Kraft Pulping and Bleaching from Expert Instructors

The Introduction to Kraft Pulping and Bleaching Course has been a key part of TAPPI's successful annual training events for over a decade. It is designed for those who are new to the kraft pulping process, including process engineers, machine operators, kraft pulp operators, and suppliers.

Led by Course Chair Dr. Michael J. Kocurek, a respected educator in the pulp and paper industry, this two-day course offers comprehensive introductory to intermediate-level training on kraft pulping and bleaching. The course will take place at TAPPI’s headquarters on August 6 – 7 in Peachtree Corners, Georgia.

Dr. Kocurek emphasizes that the course provides a broad overview of the entire process instead of focusing on one or two operations, making it unique in the industry. It is suitable for individuals looking to gain a better understanding of kraft pulping and bleaching operations, pulp grades and products, and how to improve their job performance.

In addition to Dr. Kocurek, Tom Holm, the owner of Yggdrasil Pulp Consulting LLC, will also be teaching the course. Holm has extensive experience providing process analysis, capital justification assistance, and training services to the pulp and paper industry.

"Extremely well done. This course should be given to all new hires in a company after 1-3 years of experience," said a previous attendee.
