Women in Industry
In 2015, a dedicated group of TAPPI volunteers established the PIMA Women in Industry Committee, whose purpose was to provide networking, mentoring and educational opportunities geared to the needs of women in the forest products industry. TAPPI's Women in Industry Division was established from this committee in 2017. The division's vision continues to deliver activities to encourage a culture in which men and women work synergistically, playing to strengths and leading to a vibrant and productive industry. Through the many Committees in the Division, these professionals work to solve industry challenges, provide expert input for Technical Information papers (TIPs) and Standards development, and plan programming for the annual Women's Summit.
OUR MISSION
To inspire and support the development of women leaders in the forest products, pulp, paper, tissue, packaging, and associated industries by actively recruiting women to the industry and, once there, serving as a resource for education and networking opportunities, that result in more women in the industry, fostering overall industry health.
