Fiberglass Mat Community to Meet October 1-3, 2024 in Denver, CO

Registration is open forTAPPI’s 2024 Fiberglass Mat Technology Forum taking place October 1–3, 2024 at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver, CO. Early bird registration rates end September 9.

This year’s event is bringing together industry professionals to explore and analyze a wide range of topics that are crucial to the fiberglass mat industry and kicks off with a‘Glass Mat 101’ course, led by industry experts Pete Wallace, retired, former business director, Nonwoven Resins, Arclin, and Chuck Diller,consultant, Chuck Diller, LLC. Combined, the two have 75 years of glass mat production experience in every phase of the glass mat process and components. The event's program features presentations by subject matter experts from all corners of the fiberglass mat arena including Nalco, American Roller Company, Kadant, Hexion, USG, ChemTreat and FEA. Sessions will cover topics like:

  • Chemical sustainability
  • Forming table best practices
  • Plasma roll coatings
  • Biocides in fiberglass mat production
  • And more

Attendees will also have the opportunity to attend a behind-the-scenes tour of theJohns Manville Technical Center in Littleton, CO, a 325,000-square-foot, world-class research and development facility that sits on 83 acres at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. The tour will include a visit to various scientific labs used for acoustics and fire testing, microscopy and surface analysis, and building science and product performance. The tour is included in registration, but space is limited. Attendees are encouraged to register early to reserve a spot on the tour.

The forum offers attendees many networking opportunities including Tuesday’s Women in Fiberglass Mat Lunch and that evening’sCocktail and Table Top Reception as well as an evening of fun games, delicious bites and libations at Lucky Strike Denver on Wednesday, October 2.  Attendees will mix and mingle with their industry colleagues while bowling and playing arcade games.
